Privacy policy.

How we collect, use and protect the personal information you share with us through this website. Plain English, no surprises.

Who we are

This website is run by Search Experts Limited (“SearchExperts”, “we”, “us”), based in Auckland, New Zealand. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where it applies, the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

  • Enquiry forms: your name, email, phone (optional), company, website, type of business, ad spend range (optional), what you’d like help with and your message.
  • Growth Diagnostic: your answers (business type, ad spend band, markets, challenges, role, timing), your name, work email and company, your score, and whether you’d like updates from us.
  • Website usage: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and traffic sources without cookies and without identifying you.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies on this website. If that changes, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare for a conversation with you.
  • To show you your Growth Diagnostic roadmap and follow up on it.
  • If you opt in, to send occasional practical notes. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We won’t sell your information or use it for anything unrelated to why you gave it to us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and handle enquiries. They process information on our behalf and may store it outside New Zealand:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, security and cookieless analytics.
  • Web3Forms: delivers form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google Workspace: our email and documents.

We choose providers with comparable privacy and security safeguards. We only disclose personal information to others where you’ve agreed or the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and Diagnostic details for as long as we need them to work with you, and no longer than three years after our last contact unless you become a client or the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 20 working days. If you’re not happy with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand) or the OAIC (Australia).

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
